Just Venting

Years ago I made a comment in a graduate seminar about slavery and the economy that was shut down by a professor. I mean shut right down...I was hurried along to the next topic without being given the chance to thoroughly articulate my thoughts. Then, over a decade and a half later, I am reading a book that follows an analytical course very similar to the one I had proposed that day in class way back when. And guess who blurbed the book on the back cover - lauding its brilliance? The very same professor who had once dismissed my ideas.
